COURSE DESCRIPTION:

 

An introduction to proclaiming Gods Word and initial insights into homelitics. Individuals will be required to proclaim the Gospel and present abbreviated homilies or reflections. Included in the course are:

 

1.      Diction and pace of reading.

2.      Posture and projection.

3.      Processing and handling of the Book of Gospels.

4.      Development of homiletic outlines and themes.

5.      Preparation of reflections and homilies.

6.      Public delivery of reflections and homilies.

7.      General practicum.

 

 

 

EVALUATION:

 

                        Based upon comprehension of materials presented in class and using those principles in proclamation, homily preparation and delivery.
