Formation Cellular Phone & Pager Policy

 

This policy is intended to minimize interruptions resulting from cellular phones and pagers ringing during class and other times presentation are being made. The policy does not prohibit use, but does encourage prudent use of such devices.

1. Cellular phones and pager must be turned “off” and not “vibrate” during the following time periods:
 

a. Holy Hour
b. Communion Service
c. All class periods
d. Midday prayer and announcements

2.   Cellular phones and pagers may be used during any break period between classes and after prayer and announcements during the midday period either in the Msgr. Louis Naughton Library or outdoors.  Usage at these times should not cause interruption to other conversations or those who may be using this time a quiet time for themselves. Cellular phones may not be visible on the person. This refers to holsters or other belt mounted devises, ear pieces, blue tooth, etc.


3.   An emergency telephone number will be provided for outsiders to contact individuals on formations days.
