Christology

COURSE DESCRIPTION:

This course deals with the mystery of Christ, the person of Christ, i.e. who he is, and Christ’s mission, i.e. what he does. To preach and teach Christ, we must know Him with a personal knowledge that is consistent with the faith of the Church.

Individual Classes will address these aspects of Christology:

o       The Incarnation - True God and True Man

o       A Portrait of Jesus’ Humanity: Physical, moral, psychological and spiritual

o       Principle Names of Jesus

o       Defining Jesus: The Role of the Major heresies

o       Jesus and His relationship with the Apostles: the foundation of the Church

o       The Miracles of Jesus

o       Jesus and Sinners: the Face of Mercy

o       Suffering, Death, Resurrection and Ascension

EVALUATION:

Based on comprehension of materials presented in class and one or more written reports .
