  1. Course Description;

The primary objective of this course will be to introduce the candidate to catholic liturgy in its many forms, rites, and rituals and share with them a greater love, understanding and knowledge for the Lord and his presence in the church gathered to worship, petition and praise him.

  1. Required Reading;

a) The Liturgy of the Hours General Introduction,

    Volume 1; Decree, Constitution, and General Instruction. (Page 9 – 98)

 b) Sacrosanctum concilium, documents from Vatican II.

 c) General Instruction on the Roman Missal, (GRIM).

 d) Select passages from Holy Scripture, Catechism and Rites Books as assigned.

  1. Requirements;

Attendance at all sessions, class participation, and completion of examinations.

In class oral and written.
